Hi, my name is Adam Rosenthal, and I'm the Director of Marketing for ProMach's Pharma Business Line. We are here at the ProMach Innovation Station at Pack Expo Las Vegas 2023. The Innovation Station is where ProMach showcases new and emerging innovations from all its product brands. Today, I want to tell you about one of these new technologies presented by ProMach Pharma Solutions, co-developed by ProMach Pharma Brands PharmaWorks and Serpa.

We're talking about the BTS Blister Transfer System. This machine integrates a PharmaWorks blister packaging machine with a Serpa cartoner, creating a seamless operation. Let me highlight a few features of this machine, which I'll read directly from the sign here:

  • The BTS seamlessly transfers blisters from a blister machine and collates them to feed a cartoner.

  • This is proven technology used for years by PharmaWorks, now enhanced with innovations from Serpa.

  • The integration of a blister packaging machine from PharmaWorks, the BTS, and a Serpa cartoner creates a highly efficient system.

  • The machine offers flexible, fast, and repeatable toolless changeovers.

  • It delivers extremely high-speed output, up to 500 blisters per minute.

  • It handles a wide range of blister formats and sizes.

There are three main improvements that this machine brings to the market that previous blister transfer technology did not have:

  1. The BTS does not have its own control package or HMI; it is fully integrated with the cartoner, making it more efficient for the end user.

  2. Although not visible when the machine is running, the BTS is built right on the factory floor side by side with the cartoner. This setup saves time on the front end and makes the build project more efficient.

  3. This technology can deliver blisters at roughly double the speed of prior technologies.

This new innovation, co-developed by PharmaWorks and Serpa, is the BTS Blister Transfer System. We're excited to showcase it here at the ProMach Innovation Station. My name is Adam Rosenthal, and we will finish this video by taking a look at the BTS in action.
