Quality Manager 

Job Purpose:

The Pharmaworks Quality Manager’s role is to oversee the quality initiatives of the organization.  The quality department is responsible for providing guidance for establishing Standard Operating Procedures and auditing compliance with SOPs. 

Main Responsibilities

  • Setup a QMS (Quality Management System) (organization of the system and structure)
  • Previous experience with quality audits (both internal and external)
  • Experience with implementing ISO 9000 is a plus but not mandatory
  • Experience with Pharmaceutical field a plus but not mandatory
  • Experience with OEM equipment type company very desirable
  • Formulate and manage the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems pertaining to the QA/QC efforts.
  • Define quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff.
  • Set up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures.
  • Develop and maintain department SOP’s.
  • Develop and maintain Corrective And Preventative Action (CAPA) plans for internal audits as well as external supplier performance.
  • Promote quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.
  • Work with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements for external suppliers.
  • Audit time/data capturing in all departments.
  • Ensure compliance with national and international standards.
  • Ensure tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary.
  • Manage and maintain the company’s quality inspection programs for incoming and in-process materials and components.
  • Work with customers’ auditors and ensure the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers’ specifications.
  • Organize and manage quality assurance function in close cooperation with the customers and with the company’s management team.
  • Identify relevant quality-related training needs and deliver training.
  • Provide quality guidance to the test & calibration department.

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science or Engineering field.
  • 5 years of prior Quality Assurance for a manufacturing or engineering organization.
  • Demonstrated experience working with contract manufacturers, suppliers, or distributors.
  • Demonstrated exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Desire to own decisions and take responsibility for outcomes.
  • Willingness to travel when required (20%).
