Assistant Manufacturing Manager 

The Pharmaworks Assistant Manufacturing Manager’s role is to oversee, plan, execute and report of both mechanical and electrical assembly manufacturing and operational testing of the equipment in a timely and accurate build of company products.  This position is responsible for defining and optimizing assembly manufacturing processes to maintain a high quality standard for company products.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and direction to electrical and mechanical assembly manufacturing with focus on planning activities and quality standards
  • Manage the manufacturing scheduling process to meet the Assembly Department’s goals
  • Monitor and reinforce accurate time collection by the assembly staff
  • Maintain compliance of company policies, safety standards, quality specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and report department performance and manufacturing costs with a focus on cost reduction.
  • Develop/Implement action plans to understand and address areas of concern.
  • Define and streamline assembly manufacturing processes.
  • Oversee any rework required to go through the internal machine shop.
  • Provide assistance with education such as Links, Training, Internships, etc.
  • Coordinate with Inventory, Purchasing and internal Machine shop and manage any day-to-day issues.

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Manufacturing field.
  • 5 to 7 years of prior manufacturing and supplier management responsibility.
  • Ability to lead and develop effective manufacturing teams.
  • Results driven with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Can work and participate effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated experience working with contract manufacturers, suppliers, or distributors.
  • Demonstrated exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Passion and alignment with company mission, vision, values & operating principles.
  • Willingness to travel when required (<3%).
